Summary & Objectives
This training module is meant for all future operators in your organisation who do not have sufficient basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry and its related processes. Basic knowledge of subjects with respect to platform/field location organisation, functionality of oil and gas related processes & systems and risk management will be addressed.
It also allows them to enter the NVQ3 process so as to become a certified operator. Most of this three week training will be theoretical (classical), with an option of field visits and practical exercises. All participants receive a reference book. This training will be concluded with an exam.
After completing this course, participants are able to understand:
The origins of oil and gas
The terminology and language of the business
The process of reservoir engineering
The process of hydrocarbons exploitation
The process of drilling for oil and gas
The production processes
Gas and Thermodynamics
Process control
Instrumentation & diagrams
Safety systems
Legislation
Emergency Response processes
Knowledge of rules & regulations and permit to work systems
