Basic Oil & Gas Training in the Oil & Gas industry
Knowledge of subjects with respect to platform/field location organisation, functionality of oil and gas related processes & systems and risk management will be addressed. Subjects covered include rules & regulations, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), hydrocarbons, wells, reservoir engineering, metering, work permits, emergency response etc.
After completing this course, participants are able to understand:
. The origins of oil and gas
. The terminology and language of the business
. The process of reservoir engineering
. The process of hydrocarbons exploitation
. The process of drilling for oil and gas
. The production and supporting processes
. Legislation
. Emergency Response process
. Knowledge of rules & regulations, work permits
. The fundamentals for Health, Safety & Environment
Most of this 3 week training will be theoretical (classical), with field visits and practical exercises. All participants receive a reference book. Each training module will be concluded with an exam.

For new NVQ3 candidates this training will give a solid basic knowledge in order to become a certified operator.
